A few weeks ago, the brand ILYMIX reached out to me to see if I wanted to collab with them and try out their new sunglasses. After some research, I learned that bloggers who worked with them in the past were happy with their collab and purchase, so I went ahead and picked the three pairs you see above. You can keep on reading below for a more in-depth review... These first two pairs are called the Bangu sunglasses, and I got them in black and grey. The grey sunglasses are not grey at all, but a cute half tortoiseshell, half black color (I knew they weren't grey from the site photo, that's just what they are named). While I was a little nervous because they were shipped from China, the sunglasses are actually great quality! They do not fit loose on my head, or feel flimsy. However, these are not a style I would wear too often. They are oversized (which I do love), but (obviously) VERY round. Still, I thought they would be a fun pair of sunglasses to wear every now and then especially during the summer time! Overall, I would rate these 4/5 stars. The final pair of sunglasses I picked are called the Cape sunglasses, and I got them in black. Again, these sunglasses are sturdy and high quality! They are also more of a traditional shape and a pair of sunglasses I can see myself wearing throughout the whole year. They were perfect during my Palm Springs trip, and I wore them everyday! I would rate this pair 5/5 stars. Final thoughts:In some of the blogger photos on the site, a soft case was included with the package. I thought mine would have one too, but all of the sunglasses came wrapped in tissue paper. Not a big deal, but I just thought I would mention it. Also, the products did ship from China, so I expected the package to take a while to arrive, but to my surprise, they arrived in 20 days which isn't bad for an international order. Overall, I love the quality of these sunglasses, and the wait was worth it! I can't wait to style them with more outfits. ILYMIX also provided me with a coupon code for $15 off your purchase which can be found here if you are interested! Which pair was your favorite?

When I graduated college in May, all I wanted was a small, black backpack to go with everything. That's when I went to the Premium Outlets in Cabazon and found this MCM backpack. If you couldn't tell from my Instagram lately, this backpack has been a closet staple for me this season and I take it everywhere from daily errands, to shopping, to vacations! I think a good fashion backpack is convenient and keeps your hands free when shopping or touring a new city. A black one is nice because it matches every outfit, but there are lots of fun backpacks out there! The one featured above is sold out, so I've linked a few of my favorites below! Tip:When purchasing a backpack, it's important to consider its size. Try to find one that isn't too large (such as one that could be used for school), but also one that isn't too small. The one I'm wearing is a mini, but it has two pockets, and holds everything I need! When searching online, make sure there are pictures of the backpack on someone or compared to something similar in size as measurements alone do not show you how the backpack will look on. It all depends on what you plan on carrying, so keep that in mind (: The Card Holder:Another item I always carry in my backpack is this cardholder from ASOS. They are great for making some extra room if your backpack (or purse) is too small for a large wallet. They're also great in airports and on trips when you don't need every credit, store, and business card we all carry in our wallets! I've also linked a few cardholders below ♡ Now that summer is officially here, the weather has been consistently warm which means that, most days, it's too hot for layering clothes. During these days, I tend to stick to rompers, dresses, or the short + dress combo which leaves little room for that extra piece of clothing needed to create a unique look. However, the perfect accessory can add something special to every outfit you wear this season. Continue reading for my 5 ways to accessorize this summer! fun Bag:One way to dress up your summer outfit is to wear a fun, unique bag! The outfit I am wearing above is minimal, so the unique style of my bag adds a nice pop to the outfit. I've been loving basket bags this season and they come in so many fun shapes and sizes. I've linked a couple of my favorites below. Cute Shoe:Another way to style a simple outfit is to add a trendy shoe. This summer, try a colorful or embellished shoe, or a chunky espadrille like the ones below to dress up your outfit! sunglasses:Sunglasses are an absolute necessity when going out in the summer, but that doesn't mean they can't be fun too! I chose to wear a pair of red sunglasses to add a pop of color to my outfit, and you can too with some of these styles below. layering minimal necklaces:Wearing too many large pieces, or even just one heavy necklace can easily become uncomfortable on a hot day. Instead, layering minimal necklaces allows you to wear more without feeling weighed down. I have been loving the trend of coin necklaces this season and layering them with a more basic style, and I've linked a few of my current faves below. statement earrings:Until recently, I strictly wore stud earrings unless I was attending a formal event. Now, I've been seeing statement earrings everywhere and have been loving incorporating them into my everyday outfits. I also love that they come in so many shapes, designs, and colors! Check out some of my favorite statement earrings below. Bonus style tip:On any day when you feel your outfit needs some dressing up, try adding a fun hair accessory, or incorporate a braid into your hairstyle! my Outfit details:As summer kicks off, I thought I would dedicate my first post to talk swim! Growing up, finding the perfect top was always difficult for me because of my fuller bust, and I found that the cutest swimsuits were never big enough. Over the last few years, I've discovered brands that include a wide range of sizes for tops and bottoms, and I thought I would share some of my favorite suits from these brands below. The swimsuit I am wearing in this photo is currently sold out, so I've linked similar here and here. |
