the story:Just last week, I visited Los Angeles which is about an hour away from home. Even though I grew up here, I never really did all the tourist-y things like visit all the beautiful walls for example, so I packed up a few outfits and went on a wall hunt! As we were leaving Melrose Ave (where many of the famous walls are), my mom spotted the famous angel wings, but I was out of outfits (*gasp). I wanted to wear a white dress to really pop against the colorful background and complement the white in the wings, so I found this #lwd in a cute boutique called Avant Garde. Sadly, they do not sell their clothes online, but if you are ever in the Los Angeles area, you should definitely check out this shop for their cute boho dresses, and vintage levis jeans and rocker tees. The shop owner hand-makes all of her jewelry which you can shop here. I linked some of my favorite pieces below as well as a few white dresses I think are perfect to wear during these last few weeks of summer, so you're never stuck in a situation where you don't have one! The jewelry of avant garde:the little white dress:1. F21:The length of this dress makes it easy to dress up with a pair of statement earrings and chunky sandals. 2. F21: I have been loving the babydoll style especially for those of us that are petite. The embroidered detail on this piece is so fun and allows you to add pops of color to your outfit by adding colorful jewelry, shoes, or a bright bag! 3. F21: This is actually a romper that can easily be worn as a cover up to the beach, or styled with strappy sandals and minimal jewelry. 4. ZARA: I love this t-shirt dress as it's a bit more casual and can easily transition to the fall with a pair of black booties, and a wide brim hat. Thank you for reading! A few weeks ago, the brand ILYMIX reached out to me to see if I wanted to collab with them and try out their new sunglasses. After some research, I learned that bloggers who worked with them in the past were happy with their collab and purchase, so I went ahead and picked the three pairs you see above. You can keep on reading below for a more in-depth review... These first two pairs are called the Bangu sunglasses, and I got them in black and grey. The grey sunglasses are not grey at all, but a cute half tortoiseshell, half black color (I knew they weren't grey from the site photo, that's just what they are named). While I was a little nervous because they were shipped from China, the sunglasses are actually great quality! They do not fit loose on my head, or feel flimsy. However, these are not a style I would wear too often. They are oversized (which I do love), but (obviously) VERY round. Still, I thought they would be a fun pair of sunglasses to wear every now and then especially during the summer time! Overall, I would rate these 4/5 stars. The final pair of sunglasses I picked are called the Cape sunglasses, and I got them in black. Again, these sunglasses are sturdy and high quality! They are also more of a traditional shape and a pair of sunglasses I can see myself wearing throughout the whole year. They were perfect during my Palm Springs trip, and I wore them everyday! I would rate this pair 5/5 stars. Final thoughts:In some of the blogger photos on the site, a soft case was included with the package. I thought mine would have one too, but all of the sunglasses came wrapped in tissue paper. Not a big deal, but I just thought I would mention it. Also, the products did ship from China, so I expected the package to take a while to arrive, but to my surprise, they arrived in 20 days which isn't bad for an international order. Overall, I love the quality of these sunglasses, and the wait was worth it! I can't wait to style them with more outfits. ILYMIX also provided me with a coupon code for $15 off your purchase which can be found here if you are interested! Which pair was your favorite?
