Hello and welcome to my first post of 2020! I know I haven't posted in awhile, but I'm still here!! Mini update: I finished the teaching credential program (WOO!) which is what kept me very busy. If you follow me on instragram, then you know I've been back there for a minute. Lately in my posts, I've been wearing boots on repeat and, today, I'm going to share three different ways to style boots this season. Alright, so I'll be styling two pairs of combat boots in today's post. First up are these croc print boots from Topshop. I was looking for something a little chunkier than my other pair (which you'll see next) with just a bit of a larger heel which made these great for walking in the snow. Here I styled them with straight leg jeans, a high-neck top, and a teddy coat. It's best to wear a heel with this style of jeans, so you don't truncate your legs (I'm already 5'), so the boots were perfect. You can purchase them here. On this day, I wore a flatter combat boot. No wide-leg, no heel necessary! lol. These of course you can easily wear with skinny jeans, but it was pretty warm for a day in January, so I opted for a corduroy skirt and tights instead! I love how the boots bring some edginess to the entire look. The boots are old from River Island, but you can purchase a similar pair here. For my third look, I styled a chelsea boot. These are so easy to slip on and off, and the chunky heel made them comfortable for walking. Again, when wearing a wide leg pant, wearing a shoe with a heel will help to elongate your legs. Also, because these pants are a little more cropped, they helped to expose a little bit of skin which kept me from being swallowed in fabric! I paired it with a black high-neck bodysuit and open t-shirt jacket. I bought these secondhand, but I found a few similar pairs here and here.
Thanks for reading! xx star
