Happy Monday to all of you! This past weekend, my sister and I finally took photos in a flower field by my house. It bloomed soon after all the rain we got here in Corona, and it's perfect because it's hidden and not a lot of people know about it. When we arrived, there was only one other family which is pretty great as far as flower-field-photoshoots go this time of year. I kept my look simple with a white, crochet-lace dress which got me thinking about how much I love white for spring. A simple color (or lack thereof) is easier to wear than another trend or type of clothing because you can wear it in so many ways. Today, I'm sharing some of my favorite white pieces to buy to complete all your spring looks!
Denim, Tops, and More...

Happy Friday, loves! As the rain pours outside, I can't help but think about how excited I am for spring/summer. While I do love the rain, the gloom is not the best for shooting and it's getting harder to drag my sister outside to take my pictures (blogger problems lol), so I've already begun thinking about spring outfits! One of the resolutions I made this year was to spend less on clothes, especially those pieces I only wear a few times. Instead, I'm choosing to focus on re-styling pieces I already own. Today, I'm sharing my top five items to help you transition to spring using pieces you may already have.
Mid to Light-Wash Denim
Personally, I've always loved the look of light-wash denim in the winter, so I've purchased quite a few lighter wash denim pieces these past few months. I think this trend transitions in to spring really well. Think light wash denim jackets paired with floral dresses or t-shirts and midi skirts! With the weather heating up, it may become difficult to wear those extra tight skinny jeans, so try a cropped cut or straight leg instead!
Gold Accessories
While I do love funky, colorful, and the occasional fruit earrings, gold earrings are great year-round pieces that go well with any look. Layered and minimal necklaces continue to be one of my favorite trends that I will continue to wear this spring as well.
Animal Print
Animal print made a big comeback this winter and I think it will fit right in this spring. Think snakeskin ankle boots with denim and maxi leopard skirts with graphic tees! Animal print is also a great alternative to the same floral print we see year after year.
Mules
Another reason I'm excited for spring is to bring out my no-nonsense shoes and sandals. Mules are another shoe you can easily slip on in seconds plus, they come in so many styles and prints! I say continue wearing those everyday mules you may already have, or try one of the pairs below that give more of a spring vibe.
A Light Perfume
I took to my own perfume collection for this category and linked all of my everyday favorites below. None of these are too fruity or floral, just soft, subtle smells that are great year round.
I hope you enjoyed this post! Have a great weekend (:
Now that it's finally cold in Corona, Christmas music, hot chocolate, and cozy sweaters are in FULL effect. I'm happy that I can now get into the holiday spirit and dress for it too! I was feeling inspired by all the fall/winter booties dropping on my favorite sites, so today's post will be all about sharing my favorite pairs and how to style them. This post is a long one, so go grab a cup of hot chocolate (or coffee), snuggle up with your favorite fuzzy blanket and keep on reading...
Wear Everyday & Every way
From warm browns and solid black to snake and leopard print, everyday boots are easy to style because they go with everything! My favorite way to wear them is with jeans, but I also love how they look styled with a skirt and tights. Below, I show you I styled them each way (:
Outfit #1:
For my first outfit, I wore this pair of brown chelsea boots with an olive green, corduroy coat and jeans. I like to fold my jeans with these boots because they aren't long enough for my pants to stay in them which can cause them to scrunch up at the bottom and you don't want that! Folding your jeans so that you show a little skin also makes your legs look longer (WOOP!)
Top: Papaya Button Up: Shein Jeans: Topshop Bag: Topshop Outfit #2:
For my second look, I styled a pair of black boots (similar) with a skirt and tights. I chose denim to dress down the look for a weekday, but the skirt can be switched out for a black, dark green or burgundy one for a holiday party or weekend outfit this season. I love the fun print of these tights and they keep me warm! You can shop them and the rest of my look below.
Sweater: MISSEE (use my code 'eclectic40' for 40% off!!) Skirt (similar): ASOS Tights: ASOS

Holiday Inspired
From classic holiday colors and bright jewel tones to velvet and suede, these bold boots are perfect for holiday parties and New Years (but don't let that stop you from wearing them other days too!)
Outfit #3:
For my final outfit, I styled a pair of velvet boots and you can find a similar pair here. I love velvet for the holidays and my forest green moto jacket went perfectly with the boots to create a low-key holiday look. I wore black denim so that the boots would really pop, and, since these boots are a bit taller, I was able to tuck my jeans into them. Try styling your boots this way for a clean, sleek look.

Black Friday is finally here! While many sales have been going on throughout the week, I wanted to wait until after Thanksgiving to go crazy (haha!) In today's post, I will be sharing some of the sales I know I'll be taking advantage of as well as some gift ideas for everyone on your list! You may even find a few things to spoil yourself with because, let's be honest, we have to take advantage of these great deals, right??
Nordstrom:
Nordstrom is a great place to shop for everyone all at once and they are having up to 60% off many of their clothing, home, and beauty items now through Monday. I've linked my favorite pieces from every category below!
For Her:For Him:For The Kids:Everyone Else on your List:Urban Outfitters:
Urban Outfitters is another store that offers everything from clothing to beauty to home and they are having a buy one, get one for the entire store (ends today!!) They also have an Afterpay option (which I looove), so you can spend a little more and split your purchase into four payments due every two weeks.
For Her:For Him:ASOS
If you're looking for the most popular street brands and trendy clothing items, ASOS is the place to go! Currently, they're having up to 70% off their biggest brands and 25% off the entire site!
For Her:For Him:
The fine print: Of course there will be terms & conditions for each of these sales. I linked each home page for every store mentioned, so be sure to read the site for more information! I also included a few things that weren't on sale just because they were too good to pass up (:
As always, thanks so much for reading! I hope this post makes your holiday shopping a little bit easier. Good luck! xx star
Happy Friday, everyone (: Today, I'm sharing my favorite statement earrings for fall (and really anytime). While colorful tassels and beaded earrings were the trend for summer, fall statements are a bit more neutral and able to be worn year round making the more expensive ones worth the splurge and a collection of them ABSOLUTELY necessary (above is just a portion of mine!) Keep reading to see some of my favorites and where to buy them!
Tortoise Shell
Animal print has been popping up in a big way in this season's fashion and earrings are no exception. Tortoise shell earrings are among some of my favorite for fall and they'll go so well with all your Earth-toned looks!
Gold
This is an easy one and one you probably already own. I tend to stick to silver jewelry, but I've found myself wearing more and more gold jewelry with my warmer-toned outfits this fall. I went a little crazy with this one, but there are just SO many to choose from!
Earth Material
If you bought any bamboo or wooden earrings this past summer, you're in luck because these materials easily transition to fall. I love the way these natural-looking earrings go with the fall leaves and all the shades of brown and beige in fall clothing. Pop a pair of these on and you'll blend right in with your surroundings (ha!).
Those bamboo hoops from Revolve are calling my name... which pair was your favorite?
I hope you all have a great weekend! xx star Hello, everyone! Now that we're in mid-October and the weather is cooling down, it's really starting to feel like fall! This season, I want to break away from my (mostly) black and gray outfits and try adding some color. In today's post, I'm sharing a look with a bright pop of blue. Keep reading for outfit links and inspiration for adding pops of color to your outfits this season. AccessorizeOne easy way to add a pop of color to your outfit is through your accessories. I kept my clothing simple with a black and white color palette which made it easy to add any color accessories, in this case, a blue bag and earrings. You can also try adding a bright, colorful shoe or belt like some of the pieces below! Play it SafeWearing a bright lip or sporting a colorful mani is another easy way to add subtle pops of color to anything you're wearing. I think fall is an especially fun time to play with bright lips because they're so unexpected! Be BoldFinally, for those of you who are brave enough, try adding a colorful coat or pant to really stand out this fall. Thanks for reading!
xx star Fall is finally here! While I tried to hold on to summer style for as long as I could, I am finally over it and ready for cooler weather. In Corona, it isn't chilly just yet, but at least the temperatures are now consistently below 100 (yes!). For my very first lookbook, I wanted to focus on fall styles for warmer weather for those of us who live in a city that just isn't quite cool yet. look #1: Printed overallsFor my first look, I wore these floral overalls (different color) from Lulus and styled it for fall by adding a white, cropped sweater (similar) and these New Look ankle boots from ASOS. Adding a cute pair of boots to a skirt, dress, or romper is the easiest way to make each piece transition to fall. Look #2: boy scout inspiredFor this second look, I styled an old boy scout jacket my grandma gave me, so needless to say it can't be bought lol, but here are a few similar: 1, 2, and 3. Since it's still too warm for thick jackets and sweaters, I thought this lighter jacket would make for the perfect third piece! Another way to dress fall on a warm day is to simply wear fall colors which for me means earth tones. I kept it light with white and beige-toned linen shorts (similar) and sweater tank. The bag inside my bag may also be switched to match any outfit. Look #3: overalls x floral blouseI love a good fall floral and when I can wear a piece across multiple seasons. I bought this floral top in the spring, but slap on something black and BOOM, you've got yourself a fall outfit! But seriously, the pattern of this top reminded me of plaid which is very on trend for fall. This time, I traded in the boots for white sneakers from Topshop. I would highly suggest investing in a pair as they really go with everything from jeans to maxi skirts. You can shop my overalls here. My top is no longer sold, but here are some other floral tops for fall: 1, 2, and 3. Which look was you favorite? Let me know in the comments below!
xx star the story:Just last week, I visited Los Angeles which is about an hour away from home. Even though I grew up here, I never really did all the tourist-y things like visit all the beautiful walls for example, so I packed up a few outfits and went on a wall hunt! As we were leaving Melrose Ave (where many of the famous walls are), my mom spotted the famous angel wings, but I was out of outfits (*gasp). I wanted to wear a white dress to really pop against the colorful background and complement the white in the wings, so I found this #lwd in a cute boutique called Avant Garde. Sadly, they do not sell their clothes online, but if you are ever in the Los Angeles area, you should definitely check out this shop for their cute boho dresses, and vintage levis jeans and rocker tees. The shop owner hand-makes all of her jewelry which you can shop here. I linked some of my favorite pieces below as well as a few white dresses I think are perfect to wear during these last few weeks of summer, so you're never stuck in a situation where you don't have one! The jewelry of avant garde:the little white dress:1. F21:The length of this dress makes it easy to dress up with a pair of statement earrings and chunky sandals. 2. F21: I have been loving the babydoll style especially for those of us that are petite. The embroidered detail on this piece is so fun and allows you to add pops of color to your outfit by adding colorful jewelry, shoes, or a bright bag! 3. F21: This is actually a romper that can easily be worn as a cover up to the beach, or styled with strappy sandals and minimal jewelry. 4. ZARA: I love this t-shirt dress as it's a bit more casual and can easily transition to the fall with a pair of black booties, and a wide brim hat. Thank you for reading! Which jewelry piece or dress style was your favorite?
xx star When I graduated college in May, all I wanted was a small, black backpack to go with everything. That's when I went to the Premium Outlets in Cabazon and found this MCM backpack. If you couldn't tell from my Instagram lately, this backpack has been a closet staple for me this season and I take it everywhere from daily errands, to shopping, to vacations! I think a good fashion backpack is convenient and keeps your hands free when shopping or touring a new city. A black one is nice because it matches every outfit, but there are lots of fun backpacks out there! The one featured above is sold out, so I've linked a few of my favorites below! Tip:When purchasing a backpack, it's important to consider its size. Try to find one that isn't too large (such as one that could be used for school), but also one that isn't too small. The one I'm wearing is a mini, but it has two pockets, and holds everything I need! When searching online, make sure there are pictures of the backpack on someone or compared to something similar in size as measurements alone do not show you how the backpack will look on. It all depends on what you plan on carrying, so keep that in mind (: The Card Holder:Another item I always carry in my backpack is this cardholder from ASOS. They are great for making some extra room if your backpack (or purse) is too small for a large wallet. They're also great in airports and on trips when you don't need every credit, store, and business card we all carry in our wallets! I've also linked a few cardholders below ♡ As summer kicks off, I thought I would dedicate my first post to talk swim! Growing up, finding the perfect top was always difficult for me because of my fuller bust, and I found that the cutest swimsuits were never big enough. Over the last few years, I've discovered brands that include a wide range of sizes for tops and bottoms, and I thought I would share some of my favorite suits from these brands below. The swimsuit I am wearing in this photo is currently sold out, so I've linked similar here and here. |
